Thanks for the memories
Mike Cox
Had a great time at the reunion! Thanks, Barry, for publishing your
pictures so soon on the web page. Danced more at the reunion than I did
all four years at high school.
Subj: Re: Memory Books Chic, Can't begin to tell you how much fun I had last weekend. It now seems like an entire lifetime ago. What a difference one week has made in our lives. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed. I always felt as much a part of your class as I did my own. I guess living next door to Phil, and being with Terry had allot to do with it. I will be seeing Terry in a few weeks, and share with him the pictures I took. I wish he would of been able to come. Thank you so much again for a great weekend. Please invite me next time ok. Johnnie
Subject: Reunion This is a little late, but I would also like to express my gratitude to all those responsible for putting on such a great Reunion, I'm sure that everyone had as much fun as my wife Tasha, and myself had. This was my first Reunion since leaving Mayfair over 40 years ago, and it made me wish I hadn't missed all the previous ones. The Golf tournament was also fun and Gary Johnson did a fantastic job of handicapping all us duffers. Again thanks to all, See you in five years. Hi Sandee-Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the reunion and what
a great job everyone did putting it together. And thank you so much for
the transportation back and forth to the airport..I guess I got home just
in time before this horrible terrorism attack.. isn't it
awfull??
Subject: Reunion Golf Tournament
Chick and Gary, it seems trivial now after what has happened this week
but we must hold on to the good memories at times like this. Thanks for
the great job you both did on the golf tournament, it was a blast. See
you soon.
Subject: Thanks With all that has been happening this week it has taken me a few days to get back to you with "Thoughts on the Reunion." Although for me it was both surreal and VERY real, it was wonderful! I cannot help but remember what an innocent and idealistic group of teenagers we were in 1961 and what a fine generation of adults we are in 2001. Thanks again for all your and Ellen's efforts. My only request for the next reunion is that we take up a collection for a new "rug" for Phil! See you soon. Carole Davidson Scanlon
Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2001 15:42:55 -0700 Hello Chic & Ellen; I want to thank you for the tremendous time Bettirae and I had at your 40th reunion. She is not one to embellish reunions, gatherings and things. However, I've never heard her tell so many people what a great class she thought you had. We both felt very flattered to be included in your festivities. With the tragedies our great country felt last Tuesday, we ended up driving our rental car back home. Alamo really handled the adversity well, waiving all destination and late charges. Are you aware of others getting caught in similar situations? I know John O'Neal and Frank Meadors were heading back to Oklahoma? A lady at the gym asked me about any ideas garner from your reunion as her class reunion is on the horizon. I told her about the format you used which I thought was excellent. Mike Swaim did a great parity on Lake Woebegone and of course Phil did an exceptional job as MC. Obviously, the CEO of the reunion channelled all the participants into the right positions to make the reunion the success it was! Well Chic, thats it for now, please keep me in mind when you have your annual golf outing. Thanks again for including the Ol Coach and his bride.
Warmest Regards

It was a difficult time for me trying to decide whether I was going to
the reunion with Paul or not. Life will turn us in the right direction if
we just give it time. Well, with Mia Whitaker being born two weeks early,
the decision was made! I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous job
you and your committee did with all the preparation for the
"big" event weekend. Paul and I just got home from California yesterday (09/13). We were scheduled to fly from Ontario, California on Tuesday morning. Well you know why we didn't fly. We stuck around the hotel for another 24 hours but realized our options for air travel were questionable. Our daughter let us use her car to drive home. We were unable to rent a car and travel out of state, so this was the best option. Paul will be returning her car in two weeks and then hopefully be able to fly home without any problems. I hope all our fellow classmates were able to return home without any problems. I do know Frank Meador's wife, Marcella, had to fly to Chicago on Monday so I'm sure she got stuck. I pray you and yours remain happy and healthy! Lv Pix PS. KUDOS to the individual who connected Sherry Dingwell's Ex with her present! I got a tummy rolling laugh out of that one. Hopefully the two guys were accepting to the arrangement and had a good laugh too!
Subject: Our 40th reunion Dear Chic - Thank you to everyone involved with our 40th reunion. It takes a lot of work to plan and run that kind of event, which seemed to flow without a hitch. We had a terrific time! - Larry Gantman Forward to the future >>>>>>>>> WOW I THINK ALL HAD A GREAT TIME >>>>>. Subject: Just wanted to say Thanks
To the reunion committee,
Subject: Gratitude
Chic-
See you all in 5 years, I also would like to thank (sarcasm) the individual that put my husband with my ex-husband together in the same golf cart. That wasn't very nice.
Subject: Gratitude Thank you thankyou thankyou - I can't imagine how much work you and the committee did to make that happen (and I don't want to), but I want to thank you for doing it! What a blast! I'm still smiling with the memory of all those wonderful classmates. Phil can head it up next time, as long as he still emcees it. Oh yes, I must go now and "fill in the blank". Thanks again. Suretta :) Back to Reunion Index
